Session Log 11/19/2000 Log

-- Start log: Sunday, November 19, 2000 9:04:06 am LunaSoft MOO time --

GM says, "*** START SESSION ***"
Corin says, "((I have to leave promptly at noon too))"
GM [to Corin]: ok, we'll quit on time
GM says, "the lasts session ended as Corin slipped his bonds and darted away while the rest of you were being taken under guard to the Lugdunum city jail"
GM [to Joseph]: did you have a chance to read over the log from last week?
Joseph says, "yes. We're tied up, Corin just broke loose""
GM says, "so we'll start with what happens to the group when corin escapes"
GM says, "the marching order i gave indicates that Corin is 5th in the line, just in front of Johan."
GM says, "when corin slips away, johan's hands are still tied together, but he is freed from the rest of you"
GM says, "from the two guards bringing up the rear, one steps forward to keep johan from running off while the other goes after corin"
Corin runs as fast as he can, weaving in between the people in the crowd, staying low, trying to get lost.
GM says, "so you're standing there in the square with a crowd of people around and three guards. are any of you (other than Corin) going to try anything?"
Corin says, "weren't there only two guards watching us?"
GM [to Corin]: i'll get to you in just one sec
GM [to Corin]: nope, four... two in front and two behind
Corin says, "oh, ok"
Corin says, "((none with crossbows loaded i hope.))"
GM says, "no"
GM says, "ok, looks like the rest of the PCs aren't doing anything, so we'll move on to corin"
Corin says, "((they'll be doing something under torture later.))"
GM [to Corin]: let's do this as a Contest of Tracking between you and the guard.
Corin says, "((Does my pursuer draw his weapon? What chance do I have of stopping at a corner and trying to take him out barehanded? Is there any kind of weapon I can grab?))"
GM [to Corin]: you have some advantages: more speed, smaller size, a head start, and the crowd. his main advantage is that he knows the city whereas you don't really know it yet. i'll give you a +3 in the Contest.
Corin says, "((Ok, any weapons available as I run?))"
GM [to Corin]: he hasn't drawn a weapon, and your chance of taking out an armored guard barehanded are very low
GM [to Corin]: you have no weapons and you don't see anyone nearby with a weapon you could grab. this is primarily a market area, so there are goods for sale like fruits and vegetables on tables and such.
GM [to Corin]: i guess you could throw tomatoes or something :)
Corin says, "((heh....))"
Corin says, "((Ok, who rolls first?))"
GM [to Corin]: your best chance is probably to try and make a clean getaway
GM [to Corin]: you go ahead, and i'll roll for the guard
GM rolls 3 + 0.
Result [3 6 5] = 14 + 0 = 14.
Corin says, "damn"
Corin is scared to roll.
Corin says, "here goes."
GM wonders why Corin is unhappy
Corin rolls 3 + 0.
Result [2 3 1] = 6 + 0 = 6.
Corin says, "ouch!"
GM hopes Corin remembers that low rolls are better in this game
Corin says, "no I forgot!"
Corin bonks self.
Corin is very happy now!
GM [to Corin]: you dash through the square, dodging people and stalls, and enter a side street from which you quickly lose sight of the guard giving pursuit
GM says, "the guard searches the square for a few minutes, but eventually gives up and returns to the group"
GM says, "the four guards take the other five of you the rest of the way to the jail"
Renard manages a grin at the situation, when the guard returns empty-handed. "Where are we being taken again?"
GM says, "[Guard] (sourly) city lockup. get moving."
Corin heads quickly for the Inn they were staying at, in search of a weapon. Corin really would like a bow too.
GM [to RJ&C]: the city jail is only a few minutes away. it is a long, narrow, two-story stone building.
GM [to RJ&C]: you are taken through the front door, one of you guards says, "Euric's prisoners" to another guard-looking type inside, and you are taken up to the second story and put inside a room
GM [to RJ&C]: the room has a single window - a 6-inch square hole in the wall near the ceiling - and the door is a heavy oaken thing with no openings
Corin says, "((we can squeeze Bodoni thru that.))"
Renard [to GM]: we on the first or top floor?
GM [to RJ&C]: as a result, the room is quite poorly lit. it's completely bare, no furnishings or trash or anything. the five of you are alone in there. the room itself is about 6 feet by 12 feet.
GM [to Renard]: second story
Caralchis looks out the window
Renard [to GM]: presumably we've been disarmed, but have we been disarmored
GM [to Caralchis]: from on the floor, you can only see sky and not much of that. Johan helps boost you up so you can get a better view, and you can see the other surrounding buildings but not much else. the outer wall is a good 10 inches thick and constructed of mortared stone blocks.
GM [to Renard]: disarmed, yes. but as of right now you still have the armor you had when you entered the villa.
Joseph says, "lets seach for stones that have the mortar scraped away, (like in The Count of Monte Cristo)"
Corin says, "((or loose ones?))"
GM [to Joseph]: no obvious weaknesses like that, but you could engage in a more careful search if you want to spend the time on it.
Corin says, "((not doing much else in there :P))"
Joseph says, "I'll take the time to do a detailed seach"
GM [to Joseph]: it'll probably take you until dark falls; it's already late afternoon and the light is beginning to fade.
GM [to RJ&C]: while you're working on that, i'll switch back to Corin
GM [to Corin]: ok, you head back to Faustulus' Inn
Corin tells Faustulus what has happened, especially to Portia, and asks for his help.
GM says, "[Faustulus] what will her father do to me?! Corin, we must help her."
Corin nods vigorously. "We need weapons. And we need to get the others out of Jail."
GM says, "[Faustulus] but what can *I* do? it's been years since i was a legionaire. i still have my old weapons and armor, but as you can see i've done well as an innkeeper. (he pats his generous paunch)"
Corin says, "Do you know any of the men at the Jail? Can they be bribed?""
GM says, "[Faustulus] and Euric is very powerful. if he is behind this, our task will be most difficult."
GM says, "[Faustulus] anyone can be bribed one way or another, but i don't know any of the city guards personally."
Corin frowns. "How did you get that carruca, with the driver Tuval, for us?"
Corin says, "((I dont think he did that for us, huh...))"
GM says, "i'd have to check the log, but in any case the carruca rental wasn't very suspicious"
Corin says, "Can you find a man called Tuval who drives carruca's for me? Our weapons are inside his carruca.""
GM says, "(ooc) Euric's men discovered your weapons. chances are they confiscated them."
Corin says, "Do you think you could bribe the guards at the jail to release the others? TOgether we could get Portia back.""
Corin says, "The guards would recognize me.""
GM says, "[Faustulus] was Portia taken to the jail as well?"
Corin thinks about this before answering. "I am not sure. The others may know."
GM says, "[Faustulus] there are many guards at the jail. how would i go about bribing all of them at once? if we were caught, we could be in grave danger ourselves."
GM says, "brb"
Corin says, "((any suggestions, anyone?))"
Corin says, "((I could set the jail on fire. You may be able to escape in the mess.))"
Corin says, "((or burn to death!))"
Joseph says, "execpt the jail is made of stone :-) I don't have any ideas, though"
Corin says, "(stone walls dont burn well, yes...))"
Corin says, "((Let me go rent 'Escape from Alcatraz' again.))"
Caralchis says, "(if you threw a little digging implement through the window, we could start chiselling through the wall)"
GM says, "back"
Corin says, "((or just enlarging the window.))"
Caralchis says, "(that might be quicker)"
Corin says, "Faustulus, what weapons do you have?""
GM says, "i like the mental image of Corin standing outside the jail, tossing a rock hammer at a window 20 feet above the ground"
Corin says, "rofl"
Corin says, "((an arrow tied to a string, pulling up a hammer :P))"
GM says, "[Faustulus] from my legionaire days, i have my spear, my knife and my spatha sword"
Corin says, "May I use your sword? No bow by any chance?""
GM says, "[Faustulus] i haven't unpacked them in years, though. i hope they're still in good shape! no bow: i was in the infantry with Bodoni"
Renard [to Corin]: - why don't you come up with a plan that will rescue us after we are taken from the cell for questioning? we probably won't be able to bust out, but they'll have to open the cell at some point.
Renard [to Corin]: shit, hire a lawyer ;)
Corin says, "((where's Johnny Cochran?))"
GM says, "Alan Dershowitz walks by..."
GM [to Corin]: also note that you know where the jail is (common knowledge - Faustulus would have told you) but not which cell they were kept in or even if they're in a cell.
Corin says, "Where do you think they will question them?""
Corin [to GM]: ((noted))
GM [to Corin]: actually, though, fire is not impossible (not that i'm suggesting it). many stone buildings used wooden supports, especially in the roof, and THOSE will burn. of course, the wood is quite hard and old and wouldn't burn easily.
GM says, "Faustulus really doesn't know anything about what happens inside the jail"
Corin says, "Why dont you go over to Euric's and ask the front guard about Portia? I will head over to the jail, and try to think of something. Your sword would be helpful.""
GM says, "also, hiring a lawyer is not a ridiculous suggestion. there are such people, and Faustulus knows a few."
Corin says, "((really?))"
GM says, "really. there aren't 'fair trials' and all that stuff that we have today, but there were trials with advocates for both sides."
Corin says, "Do you know someone who can talk on behalf of the others to the guards?""
Joseph says, "could we challenge Euric to trail by combat?"
GM says, "[Faustulus] hmmmm... i know a couple of lawyers. it's too bad that you folks are from out of town, but... you have money?"
Corin says, "I have a couple of hundred... Do you have some?""
GM [to Joseph]: in a private matter, such a suggestion might work. but so far, it sounds like you're being charged with treason, which is not a private grudge between you and Euric.
GM says, "[Faustulus] actually, i could probably call in a favor or two."
Corin says, "That would be great...we need all the help we can get. They mentioned charges of Treason.""
GM says, "[Faustulus] we need to determine where Portia is, too. when was the last time you saw her?"
Corin wonders whether Faustulus is only interested in Portia.
Corin says, "She was with us when we were captured. THen I lost sight of her.""
Corin says, "If I had to guess, she is still at Euric's.""
GM says, "[Faustulus] very well. i will speak with a lawyer friend of mine, one Gunderic, and together we will try to determine Portia's whereabouts. at the same time, we will demand an open trial for your friends and try to help them as much as possible. do you have any better ideas?"
Corin shakes his head slowly.
Corin says, "Can I have your sword in the meanwhile? I feel emptyhanded.""
Corin wonders whether he should just save his own skin and head back home.
GM says, "[Faustulus] (pausing) yes, but be careful. you aren't supposed to show a blade within the city."
Corin misses his poor mother badly.
Corin nods, thanking Faustulus.
Corin takes the sword and heads towards the jail, staying out of sight.
Corin keeps the sword sheathed.
GM [to Corin]: Faustulus heads out to find Gunderic and speak with him.
GM [to Corin]: ok. night is beginning to fall, by the way.
Corin is tired, and his hsoulder is aching.
Corin says, "((shoulder))"
GM says, "switching back to RJ&C"
Joseph says, "did we find anything?"
GM [to Joseph]: you check the cell carefully and are unable to locate any weaknesses
GM [to Joseph]: even the door is quite stout
Joseph says, "then I guess we wait for something to happen."
GM [to RJ&C]: after about an hour, the door opens and torchlight floods in
GM [to RJ&C]: those ubiquitous four armored guards are there, sans helmets, along with a little man with a big hooked nose who points to Renard and says, "you. on your feet and come with us."
Corin says, "((Corin sings, " The Inquisition...."))"
GM says, "no one expects it, you know"
Corin says, "((Renard is sleeping?))"
GM kicks renard's chair
Corin says, "((he's playing dead, hoping they grab someone else first *grin*))"
GM says, "Renard gets up, looks worried, but goes along"
GM says, "the door slams shut again, and ten minutes later the door opens and renard is sent back in, now wearing only a breechcloth."
Caralchis says, "(to cellmates after door is shut) maybe we should discuss what we are going to say"
Corin says, "((ouch))"
GM says, "the little man points at Caralchis. "your turn. come along.""
Corin says, "((Renard asks if he was violated.))"
Caralchis goes along
GM says, "you are taken down a hallway to another room. inside, the man says to you, "you have been charged by Lord Euric with high treason. remove your armor and put this on.""
Caralchis says, "it's a breechcloth isn't it?"
GM says, "um, yes."
Caralchis slowly complies
GM says, "when you're done, the man asks for your name and writes it down on a wax tablet he's carrying."
GM says, "then you are taken back to the cell and sent back inside."
Corin says, "((GIve my name *grin* ))"
GM says, "everyone gets the same treatment - does everyone comply?"
Joseph says, "yes"
Corin says, "((No questions? WHat treason, etc?))"
Renard coughs
Caralchis (can we assume that Bodoni systematically destroys all the guards at the prison and frees us?)
Corin says, "((they already checked you for hernia renard.))"
GM says, "ok. once everyone has been processed, a jug of water and several loaves of black bread are left in the cell and the door is shut once again. it is almost entirely dark by now, and the only light filtering into the cell comes from the moon outside."
GM [to Caralchis]: you can assume that, but unfortunately bodoni just scarfs down his share of the bread and water and hungrily eyes the rest of you eating
Caralchis (aww shucks)
GM [to RJ&C]: switching back to Corin now
Corin says, "((Pity they didnt put Portia in a breechcloth with you.))"
Caralchis eats some bread and suggests that they discuss any sort of plan
Joseph says, "I can't figure out the political situation. Lugdunum is part of Burgundy, right?"
Corin nonchalantly studies the jail from the outside.
GM [to Joseph]: right, it's a major city
Joseph says, "and if I recall correctly, it's the Visigoths that Garmach considered the bad guys"
Corin says, "((perdu is head of what force?))"
Joseph says, "Perfu is leader of the Langobards, I think"
GM [to Joseph]: the Visigoths and Burgundians are 'bad guys', although your mission is supposed to take place in Visigothic lands
GM [to Joseph]: correct re Perfu
Joseph says, "Ok. Euric is the son of Pedronius, who was just executed by the Langobards. Garomach must have said something to him that rubbed the wrong way."
Corin says, "((There was that talk of 'Perfu's something' too.))"
Renard [to GM]: had a domestic disaster - lots of broken glass
Joseph says, "Did Euric use Perfu to come into his inheritance a little early?"
GM [to Renard]: sorry to hear it
GM [to Renard]: rioting Bush supporters throwing bricks throught your windows or something?
Corin says, "rofl"
GM [to Joseph]: (obviously i can't answer that, but i think it's worthwhile for the four of you to think about what's going on here)
Joseph says, "*I* thought Garomach was here in town to try to get the Burgundians to unite with us against the Visigoths. Maybe that's the story we should stick to. (we're obviously not humble merchant's guards)"
Joseph says, "on the other hand, we could just say we don't know anything. That would be the truth too :-)"
Joseph says, "(to GM) quick question: remind us how Modoc is related to these events"
GM says, "on the political situation: the Franks, Burgundians and Visigoths are all vying for supremacy of Gaul. they all mistrust one another and tensions are high at the moment."
Corin says, "((hey, we could ask Modoc for help))"
GM [to Joseph]: as far as you know, Modag is just a guy you met at a party who has some wacky numerological and astrological ideas and invented a telescope
Joseph says, "thanks"
GM [to Joseph]: he's obviously wealthy, probably through family, as he has no obvious means of support.
GM [to Corin]: hey, what about Darius? :)
Corin says, "yeah, he loves me."
GM [to Corin]: so you come by the jail that evening.
Corin keeps to the shadows, and studies the jail.
GM says, "the building as a whole has few windows. the lower level has a few iron-barred windows, and the upper level has a row of tiny square openings very high up near the roof."
Corin says, "((Corin notices the emphasis on tiny and very high.))"
GM says, "the roof is made of the semi-circular tiles that are common in this area"
Corin says, "((Are the windows on one side of the building, or all around?))"
GM says, "there is a main entrance and a back entrance, both guarded"
GM [to Corin]: the tiny windows extend around three sides of the second story. on the front side are two larger barred windows.
Corin says, "((One guard at each entrance?))"
GM [to Corin]: two: one on each side of the door
GM [to Corin]: at this hour, there is still quite a bit of activity. you can see the glow of lamplight through many of the windows of the lower level.
Corin says, "((Can I get close to the window to listen without being seen?))"
GM [to Corin]: there's no cover by the windows
Corin decides there is little he can do. Exhausted, hungry and hurt, he heads back to the Inn to eat and sleep.
GM [to Corin]: of course, you could sort of nonchalantly slouch against the wall and pretend to be waiting for someone, but you couldn't really hide
GM [to Corin]: might be dangerous, since they know what you look like
GM [to Corin]: still going back to the inn?
Corin says, "yes :)"
GM says, "(damn!)"
Corin says, "I dont want to be naked and tortured!"
Corin eats at the inn, tends to his wound, and falls fast asleep.
GM says, "Faustulus tells you before you go to sleep that he's contacted Gunderic and he's willing to accept the case. they're to meet the next day to discuss it further."
Corin thanks Gunderic and heads to his room.
Corin says, "((I mean Faustulus.))"
GM says, "next morning..."
GM [to Corin]: we'll start with you
Corin says, "(healing roll?)"
GM [to Corin]: end of the day :)
Corin grunts.
Corin heads down to talk to Faustulus and Gunderic.
GM [to Corin]: you awake to the sound of shouting from outside and pounding on the door. "Open up, Faustulus! Open up! This is the city guard!"
Corin hustles out of bed, runs to the back door.
Corin grabs his stuff before he leaves.
Joseph says, "It just keeps getting worse, doesn't it :-)"
Corin says, "((HE's determined to get me back with you guys.))"
GM says, "well, Euric knew where you were staying: you used his carruca to go back home a couple of nights ago! :)"
Corin says, "I did think of that, but they dont know I am there yet."
GM [to Corin]: no, but it's a logical place to try.
Corin says, "yes"
Corin says, "DO I get out the back door in time?"
Corin says, "Or are they guarding it?"
GM [to Corin]: in any case, Faustulus takes his time getting to the front door to answer the guards, trying to give you time to get out.
GM [to Corin]: you grab your leather jacket and Faustulus' sword and dash out the back door. there are, of course, two guards there.
Corin says, "I knew it :P"
GM says, "they aren't stooopid :)"
Corin says, "Do they see me?"
GM says, "oh yes"
Corin says, "I barrel full speed thru them, trying to bust out. THey may be surprised at seeing me."
GM says, "[guard #1] he's coming out the back!"
GM says, "they are about four yards from the door."
GM says, "are you trying to knock one of them down, or just dodge past?"
Corin says, "hrm, you dont make this easy. Are their weapons drawn? And what are they?"
GM [to Corin]: no weapons drawn, and they are wearing leather. they have a sword and a knife each
Corin says, "Can I run 4 yards before they can draw a weapon?"
GM [to Corin]: yes... if they don't fast-draw
GM [to Corin]: fast-draw is uncommon, though
Corin says, "Ok, I run full blast into the left one with my RIGHT shoulder, trying to knock him down and run by."
Renard [to all]: sorry, folks, i got to go for a bit, and since we seem to be quitting on time today, i probably won't be back before the end. don't get kilt, corin
Renard has disconnected.
GM says, "ok, you try to Slam while the guard tries to Grapple you. this should be interesting!"
GM [to Corin]: for you slam: roll your DX
Corin says, "here goes."
Corin rolls 3 + 0.
Result [4 4 3] = 11 + 0 = 11.
GM says, "ok, you slammed him. (note that he still might grapple you, but let's resolve the slam first)"
GM says, "now roll your ST"
GM says, "you get a +2"
GM rolls 3 + 0.
Result [1 6 4] = 11 + 0 = 11.
Corin rolls 3 + 0.
Result [3 5 4] = 12 + 0 = 12.
GM says, "hmmm, what happens on a tie of a quick contest?"
Corin says, "lemme look"
Corin says, "goes to the PC *grin*"
The housekeeper arrives to cart Renard off to bed.
GM says, "a tie means nobody won, it says on p87"
GM says, "so the slam was inconclusive... you hit him, but he wasn't knocked backward. luckily, you also didn't fall down. but neither did he."
GM says, "now i'll roll for his grapple. again, a contest of DX. roll your DX, corin"
GM rolls 3 + 0.
Result [3 5 3] = 11 + 0 = 11.
Corin rolls 3 + 0.
Result [4 3 5] = 12 + 0 = 12.
Corin says, "made by 3"
GM says, "so did he (note that the grappler gets a +3 on the roll), so it's another tie... he grabs your jacket"
GM [to Corin]: roll ST
GM rolls 3 + 0.
Result [6 1 4] = 11 + 0 = 11.
Corin says, "I let go it?"
GM is really good at rolling an 11
GM [to Corin]: you can let it go OR roll ST to pull it free, up to you
Corin says, "I keep running but if I lose I dont stop for it ok?"
GM says, "ok"
Corin rolls 3 + 0.
Result [5 3 6] = 14 + 0 = 14.
Corin says, "ouch"
Corin says, "I shove it in his face and keep running."
GM says, "you missed it, he made it... you let go your jacket and keep running"
GM says, "you move another two yards past him on this turn. the second guard turns to chase you."
Corin says, "Without Jacket, my move would be higher probably?"
GM says, "no change in move, since you don't change encumbrance levels."
Corin says, "ok"
GM says, "your move is higher than either guard anyway, though, so make a DX roll to see if you trip or do anything stupid"
Corin says, "hey, thanks :)"
Corin rolls 3 + 0.
Result [2 4 2] = 8 + 0 = 8.
GM says, "ok, you make a clean getaway"
Corin says, "phew!""
GM says, "switchin back to RJ&C, which is down to J&C by now"
Joseph says, "is there any way to communicate with the guard outside our cell?"
GM [to J&C]: you can bang on the door, i guess
GM [to J&C]: although there may not be a guard actually right outside each cell door
GM [to J&C]: the morning is pretty uneventful, but around midmorning the door opens once again
Joseph says, "who is it?"
GM says, "the hooked-nose man is there again, with guards. he points to Joseph and Caralchis (conveniently enough). "you and you, come with me.""
Joseph follows
Caralchis follows as well
GM says, "the guards take you by the arms and hustle you down the hallway back to the room where you handed over your armor the previous day."
GM says, "Euric is waiting for you."
GM says, "also in attendance is a hulking figure with a wooden club and an expressionless face."
Joseph thinks it best to let Euric start talking.
Caralchis (does the hulking figure look to be any particular nationality?)
GM says, "the hooked-nose man leads you to the center of the room and the guards let you go and move back to the doorway"
GM [to Caralchis]: hard to say for sure. he's dark-haired and fairly dark-skinned, so he doesn't look Germanic.
GM says, "[Euric] i require some answers"
GM says, "[Euric] what is the nature of your association with Garomach?"
Joseph says, "we are his bodyguards"
GM says, "[Euric] and who is he? what is his agenda?"
Caralchis says, "he is the Lord of the village Praesus"
Joseph says, "He didn't tell us specifically what he planed to do in your city."
GM says, "[Euric] Praesus? where is that?"
Joseph says, "to the north"
GM says, "[Euric] what is the nature of your association with Perfu?"
Joseph says, "he attacked to of my friends in Cavilorum last week"
Joseph says, "to = two"
Caralchis says, "but other then that, our paths have not crossed"
GM says, "[Euric] if that is the case, then why is Garomach seeking information about him?"
Caralchis says, "Garomach's motivations are not clear to us"
Joseph says, "from what I've heard Garomach say, he thinks Perfu is dangerous."
Caralchis nods
Joseph says, "to correct my friend here, we *did* hide from Perfu's army when we were on the road from Cavilorum to here."
GM says, "[Euric] you seem to have some difficulty getting your stories straight"
Joseph says, "we, um... *saw* your father..."
GM says, "[Euric] you saw my father? when?"
Caralchis says, "i am sorry, I did not consider the chance meeting with the army of the road of consequence as we did not interact with them at all"
Joseph says, "on the road. Milord it was horrible... I think the Langobards are not to be trusted."
GM says, "[Euric] of course they are not to be trusted. now what has all of this to do with my sister Greta?"
Joseph says, "I don't know. I've never heard that name before."
Corin says, "((ah, the sister is the witch's sister?))"
Corin says, "((would this be inappropriate of me to ooctalk like this?))"
Joseph says, "I'd appreciate the table-talk, Corin"
GM [to Corin]: if it doesn't get out of hand, it's ok
Corin says, "((Garomach was asking about the relative of the witch we killed, perhaps. Maybe that is Greta?))"
Corin says, "((Which means we killed a relative of Euric, so be careful))"
GM says, "[Euric] i cannot locate Greta and haven't since before Perfu came into Lugdunum."
GM says, "[Euric] and you say you know *nothing* of this?"
Caralchis says, "I do not recall ever having heard this name before, I swear"
Joseph says, "not a thing. We were in Cavilorum when we heard what Perfu had done to your city."
GM says, "he narrows his eyes. "Perhaps your memory could use some stimulation.""
Corin says, "((who is in the room right now?))"
Joseph says, "M'lord! we have no idea what you are talking about. If you need us to help find your sister we can. But otherwise we have no knowledge of her."
Caralchis says, "if you wish we could fabricate something satisfactory, but until now I knew nothing at all of your sister"
GM says, "Euric thinks this over, turns to the hooked-nose man, and says, "Very well, bring in two of the others and take these back.""
Corin says, "((What was the witch's name?))"
GM says, "*** END SESSION ***"
